- TITLE OF COURSE: PE1381 -
Walk, Jog, or Run
- COURSE DESCRIPTION: 1 credit hour; 2 hours of lab per week. For the individual who has an interest in walking and/or jogging
for cardiovascular fitness. Students will develop and execute a personal walking or running program. Progress will be monitored throughout the semester. Students will learn the benefits of walking or running as a stress reduction activity. For each unit of credit, a minimum of three hours per week with one of the hours for class and two hours for studying/preparation outside of class is expected.
- PROGRAM AND DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT: The SCCC/ATS physical education program will broaden the understanding of fitness for life by providing general education, appropriate technology, and professional development opportunities that promote a healthy lifestyle.

- SCCC/ATS Outcome #1 will be assessed and measured by testing their comprehension of rules, terminology, and safety.

attendance.
